    64-Bit

Descriptive of computer systems (especially microprocessors) and software which process data as 8-byte units (one byte equals 8 bits). The greater the number of bytes that a system can process at any one time, the faster the system. The Intel Pentium and DEC Alpha AXP chips are 64-Bit processors. See also 16-Bit and 32-Bit.
