Angle Bar

A metal bar placed horizontally at a 45o angle to the feed direction of a printing press. An angle bar is used to turn the web when feeding from the side, or to bypass the former folder. Angle bars are also used on ribbon folders. It is often filled with air and perforated to reduce web friction.
