    Automatic File Select

    In a database system, the ability of the system to find and display data files or records based on specific characters that appear in a field. For example, if a particular demographic database had a field that indicated how many times an individual had seen The Sound of Music, the system could be used to locate all those records corresponding to people who had seen it more than 2 times.
