    Auxiliary Roll Stand

    In web printing, a roll stand that can be mounted on top of another roll stand, used to reduce press downtime by enabling the operator to reload while the attached stand is still unwinding. Unlike a two-roll stand, an auxiliary roll stand cannot be used to feed two rolls into the press simultaneously. See Roll Stand and Web Offset Lithography: Infeed and Web Control.
