    Chlorinated Solvent

    A type of solvent used in printing inks, composed of carbon, chlorine and, occasionally, hydrogen. Chlorinated solvents have a high solvent strength and are capable of dissolving fats, oils, and other materials not easily dissolved by ketone, ester, or alcohol solvents.
