    Color Correction

Any means of altering one or more colors in a scanned or photographed image so as to fix any undesirable tonal variations that may have accrued during imaging, to keep within the range of ink colors available, or for other reasons (such as customer request, etc.). Color correction can be accomplished photographically, manually, or digitally (in paint programs such as Adobe Photoshop, for example). Color correction is related to retouching, and can be either global correction (performed on the entire image) or local correction (performed only on specific portions of the image).
