    Comic-Strip-Oriented Image

    An image printed on microfilm in a way that is analogous to the individual panels of a comic strip, an image (or frame) being oriented parallel to the direction of film travel, each successive frame essentially "next to" the preceding frame. See also Cine-Oriented Image.
