    Cutter Dust

Particles of paper fiber, filler, or coating that adhere to the paper (typically at the edges) produced by sheeting or other paper trimming operations. Cutter dust can interfere with a paper's printability and runnability. (See Paper and Papermaking: Printing Problems and Defects.)
