    Cyberspace

Generally speaking, the "space" inside a computer, used commonly to refer to the sum total of all that exists on the Internet and the World Wide Web. Those who often navigate—or "surf"—the Internet are known as cybernauts. The term cyberspace itself, although deriving from the word cybernetics, was coined by science fiction author William Gibson in his novel Neuromancer. In that novel, people accessed computer networks by hooking their brains directly to them. It hasn't come to that... yet.
