    Diarylide Orange

An organic color pigment used in printing inks. Diarylide Orange is a bright reddish orange possessing high tinctorial strength. It is not very fast-to-light, but has a high degree of transparency. It is, however, the most commonly used orange pigment in printing inks, and is frequently used to replace DNA Orange in printing on kraft paper. (See also Diarylide Yellows and Organic Color Pigments.)

Also known as Dianisidine Orange ('CI Pigment Orange 16 No. 21160').
