    Dots Per Line

    A measure of the resolution of a computer monitor indicating the number of pixels that are placed on a horizontal line. For example, a monitor said to have a 640 x 480 resolution has a resolution of 640 pixels on each of its 480 horizontal lines. See Resolution.
