Any illustration or other form of non-text material or artwork that was created by hand, as opposed to a photograph. Commonly also referred to as a line drawing or line art.

The term drawing also refers to a computer application used for creating line drawings and illustrations, commonly using a mouse or stylus and digitizing tablet to replace a pen, pencil, or other mechanical tool. Drawing programs commonly utilize vector graphics, in contrast to paint programs that use bit map graphics.
