    Electrostatic

    Xerography or electrophotography is the technology of using electrostatics to form images as in copiers or intelligent copier/printers.

    (xerographic) Pertaining to a method of image formation where an electrical charge (positive or negative) is applied to a surface. Carbon-based toner will then adhere to one, but not the other, of the charged surfaces, and can be transferred to a final surface or intermediate carrier. Xerography or electrophotography is the technology of using electrostatic processes to form images, as in copiers or intelligent copier/printers.
