    Encapsulation

    In computer programming (specifically, objectriented programming), the grouping of both data and the computer code that manipulates it into a single object.

    In networking, encapsulation refers to the means by which a frame header and information from a high-level protocol is inserted into the frame of a lower-level protocol.
