    Epoxy

    Any of a variety of thermoplastic resins derived from the polymerization of any of the epoxides (a class of organic compounds comtaining an oxygen atom bound to two other atoms, specifically carbon). Epoxies are strong adhesive materials used to produce printing inks that dry with a thick, tough film that is resistant to chemicals, water, and other environmental conditions.
