    Framing

In photography and videography, the process of setting up a shot, especially with regard to the correct and desired placement of objects.

In networking and telecommunications, framing refers to the division of to-be-rtransmitted data into small frames or packets, provided with a header, a checksum, and the bits which comprise the data. In asynchronous transmission, the inclusion of start bits and stop bits is part of the framing process.
