    Native Signal Processing

The processing of analog data in real time by a computer's native microprocessor, rather than by means of a digital signal processor, used often in data communications and the processing of digital audio and digital video. Very few microprocessors are capable of the calculations required for NSP. See also Digital Signal Processor.
