    In cutting and trimming, an alternate term for a cutting stick on a guillotine trimmer. See Cutting Stick.

    In binding and finishing, when used as a verb, pad means to apply a flexible adhesive to a stack of paper allowing sheets to be pulled off one at a time. See Padding. The term pad, when used as a noun, refers to such a bound stack of sheets.
