    Sequence of geometric transformations applied to coordinate information. In a device-independent graphics package, the pipeline converts from world coordinates (used by the application program) to normalized device coordinates (used by the device-independent portion of the graphics package) to device coordinates (used by the device driver and hardware). Also refers to a class of computer processing of data which is faster than normal methods.
