    Rear Screen

In film or audio-visual terminology, a translucent screen made of glass, acrylic, or other substance that enables an image projected from behind to be viewable from the front. Rear screens (and rear-screen projection) were often used in movie-making; a pre-filmed sequence was projected on a screen that was located behind the actors in a stationary automobile, producing the illusion that the car was moving.
