    Separator Finger

    One of a set of small attachments found in a sheetfed press's feeder section that sit on top of (or just above) the paper pile and ensure that the pickup suckers of the sheet-separation unit lift only one sheet at a time. Separator fingers may be supplemented with separator brushes. (See Sheet-Separation Unit and Feeder Section: Sheetfed Offset Lithography.)
