    Side Sewing

    In binding and finishing, a type of thread sewing in which thread is driven through the sides of printed signatures parallel to the binding edge, as opposed to saddle sewing. See Case Binding. Also spelled as one word, sidesewing, or hyphenated, side-sewing.
