    Three-Color Black

    In process color printing, a neutral gray comprising only cyan, magenta, and yellow inks. When overprinted at equal dot sizes, however, the term three-color black is somewhat of a misnomer, as impurtities in the ink impart a brownish, rather than gray, color to the image.
