An insufficient amount of color correction occurring when, in an attempt to eliminate the overcorrection of hue error, too little of a particular hue is removed, resulting in a reproduced image in which one or more (or even all) hues will appear to be contaminated. The image will also print darker than it should. (See also Overcorrection.)
