    User-Selectable Resolution

    In scanning, a function of scanner-control software that allows the user to scan at precise, user-determined resolutions—i.e., 221 ppi—as opposed to a limited, preset series of resolutions (i.e., 200 ppi, 300 ppi, etc.). See Scanning.
