    Zinc White

An inorganic material used as a white pigment in printing inks. Zinc White is almost entirely composed of zinc oxide (chemical formula ZnO). It is a clean white pigment of moderate opacity which tends to discolor when exposed to copper or when heated. It is used as an extender in many inks. (See White Pigments.)

Also known as Chinese White ('CI Pigment White 4 No. 77947'.)
